We have used Plan B to support some of our most vulnerable children in terms of their behaviour. As a result of the COVID pandemic, we have noticed that many of our children found reintegration really challenging. We were recommended Liam as someone who could come into school and support those children who require more specialist time to develop their coping strategies.

From our initial meeting, to the work he has completed on an individual basis with the children in our school, Liam has showcased his skill in building relationships and helping children develop and improve their behaviour. He makes children feel safe and secure and open to making a change.

Liam is highly professional, extremely knowledgeable and always approachable. He has significant experience across special, primary and secondary sectors and this depth is evident in his practice. Liam has become an integral part of our inclusion support team in school.

He has created a bespoke package for our school, enabling us to extend and enhance our behaviour provision and support. In addition, Liam writes and delivers tailored support for individual children with whom he works. These interventions have had a significant positive impact on children across the school, particularly after the uncertainty and challenges of COVID, enabling children to be ready-to-learn.

Children really enjoy working with Liam. He is able to identify the underlying reasons behind individual behaviours and to write individual behaviour support programmes. He really gets to know the children. They trust him and respond very well to him.

Liam has also designed and delivered our school behaviour CPD and training, ranging from whole school, phase and individual staff support (including supporting the practice of students) which has upskilled staff and enabled them to enhance and expand their behaviour practice and understanding. In addition, he has designed and written workshops for those parents and families who need additional support.

Liam is a fantastic addition to our wider behaviour team in school. His vast experience in a range of matters relating to behaviour issues has been invaluable both for staff and students. Liam’s calm, approachable and informative approach has allowed colleagues to grow in confidence when supporting students, it has supported their professional awareness and confidence and has created in our students an understanding of how their behaviour affects their learning but more importantly how to manage issues to better effect when in pressurised or challenging situations.
